Service disruption for Canadian criminal record checks - Sept 29, 2022

Turnaround times for our Canadian criminal record check product are currently longer than usual. The current delays result from two impacting events that occurred earlier this week: 

• The Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) experienced an unexpected service disruption. This service disruption limited our police partners’ ability to complete Canadian criminal record checks on behalf of Certn.
• The weather event Hurricane Fiona has impacted some of our processing partners, resulting in further delays. 

The CPIC service disruption has since been resolved, but hurricane recovery efforts may continue to impact turnaround times. Our operations team is working closely with our police partners to address the outstanding checks as quickly as possible.
