Create your account
You can create your Certn account in just a few easy steps:
- Go to our sign-up page for your region:
- Create your login credentials: Enter the email address you want to use to log in, and then enter a password that meets our password requirements.
- Agree to our service agreement, website terms, privacy policy, and communications: Select the check box next to each relevant statement, and then select I Agree.
- Share details about yourself and your business: Complete the provided fields. These details will help us to verify your account. When you're finished, select Next.
- Verify your email address: Open the email you receive, and select Verify Email. A new tab opens in your browser and displays either Certn's login page or, if you're already authenticated, your Certn dashboard. If you need to log in, use the email and password you entered in step 2.
- Add a payment method: In your dashboard, select Invite Your First Applicant or Screen Applicant, and then select Setup Payment Method. Use the window that appears to authorize a credit card to use when you order checks. You can change your payment method anytime.
What happens next?
After you submit information to create your new account, you can start exploring your new Certn dashboard, and we'll work on credentialing your account.
Explore your dashboard
You use the dashboard in Certn's web application to order and manage background checks. Using the credentials you created during signup, you can log in to Certn's web application and start exploring the dashboard. To learn about the dashboard, you can browse our guides here.
Account credentialing
When you create a new account with Certn, we follow a process to validate that your business is legitimate and has a valid purpose for ordering background checks. This process is called account credentialing. To learn more about this process and the steps you may need to take to help us credential your account, refer to Account credentialing.
