CertnCentric cases have an expiration period that determines how long an applicant has to submit their information and complete the required steps for their background check.
By default, cases expire 14 days after the check is ordered. If the applicant has not submitted their information within the configured expiration period, the case is automatically cancelled.
Expiration settings
The default expiration period is 14 days, but clients can request a different timeline based on their screening needs.
- Default: 14 days
- Minimum: 3 days
- Maximum: 90 days
To change your account's expiration period, contact Certn's support team with your preferred timeline.
Applicant notifications
To help applicants complete their check on time, CertnCentric automatically sends reminder emails after the check is ordered:
- Reminder emails: Sent on Days 2, 3, and 4 if the applicant has not yet completed the required steps.
- Expiring soon email: Sent on Day 7 to notify the applicant that their check is approaching its expiration date.
