Learn about the payment methods available for your Certn account and important requirements for credit card and bank transfer payments.
Changes to cheque payments
Effective 1 November 2026, Certn will no longer accept cheques as a form of payment from our North American clients.
Depending on your account and Certn contracting entity, available payment methods may include:
- Automatic credit card payments
- Bank transfer, such as Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), wire transfer, or ACH
Automatic credit card payments are processed on the 1st of each month.
These payment options help ensure payments are processed securely and on time without the need to mail or deliver a cheque.
Credit card payment requirements
Some customers are required to pay by credit card based on their annual recurring revenue (ARR) and contracting Certn entity.
| Certn entity | ARR threshold |
| Certn Canada | CAD $5,000 |
| Certn USA | USD $3,000 |
| Certn UK | GBP £2,500 |
| Certn Australia | AUD $5,000 |
Customers below the applicable ARR threshold are generally required to pay by credit card.
Customers above the applicable threshold may be eligible to pay by bank transfer.
Bank transfer payments
Bank transfer options vary depending on your Certn contracting entity.
For example, EFT is not available for customers contracting with Certn USA. ACH may be available as an alternative.
In some circumstances, customers who would otherwise be required to pay by credit card may be eligible for an exception to pay by bank transfer. Eligibility depends on factors such as your account and payment history.
If a bank transfer payment method is approved, invoices are due upon receipt.
