How to verify your identity without biometrics in CertnCentric

If you're having trouble completing biometric identity verification during your background check, you may be able to use an alternative, non-biometric verification method in CertnCentric.

This option allows applicants in Canada to verify their identity using their Canadian online banking credentials instead of uploading a government-issued ID and taking a selfie.

Note: Non-biometric identity verification must be enabled by the organization requesting your background check for you to use this option. You must also have a Canadian address and Canadian bank account.

How do I use an alternative identity verification method?

To complete identity verification without biometrics in CertnCentric:

1. Open your CertnCentric background check application.
2. Navigate to the Identity Verification section.
3. Select Click here in the message "Click here if you would like to use an alternative verification method."
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity using your Canadian online banking credentials.

This allows you to complete identity verification without using the standard biometric verification process.
