This guide covers how to:
- Add a Certn background check “Stage" to a job’s workflow.
- Run a background check from within ICIMS
- View your background check results within ICIMS
Adding a “Certn” Step to your Job
-
From the "Create" menu in ICIMS, select “Job” and begin filling out all relevant information for the job.
- Upon filling details to create the job, under the “Screen” section, select the screen option created by your ICIMS Customer Integration Specialist and move it to from the “Available” to “Selected” column.
- Once the job is created, mark it approved by the appropriate stakeholders in ICIMS. You can do this by editing the details of the job and setting “Job folder” to “Approved”.
Run a background check
- To run a check on a job’s candidate, from the job’s “People” tab, select the candidate(s) in question.
- Select “Advance” and choose the stage that you and your ICIMS Customer Integration Consultant named for the Certn background checks. You will get a popup that confirms you are sending out a background check for the candidate(s) in question based on the Certn package of checks you’ve set up with your ICIMS ATS integration. Once sent, Certn emails the candidate with a secure link to submit their background check info.
- You can view the status of a Candidate’s background check by opening up the candidate, heading to “Screen”, and selecting “Background Screen”. The screening status for a candidate will automatically update as the candidate completes the screen and Certn completes fulfillment.
View your Background Check Results within ICIMS
-
Open up the candidate you’ve run a background screen on. Under the “Screen” tab you will see the status of the check.
