We have been informed by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) of a high-priority incident affecting the DBS Basic Check service.
This issue originates with DBS and is impacting all Responsible Organisations, including Certn. As a result, Certn is currently unable to submit Basic Check applications to DBS or receive related files through the DBS webservice. The DBS Portal is also affected. Although it may still appear accessible, DBS has advised that it is not currently functioning correctly.
DBS is actively investigating the issue and working to restore service as quickly as possible. Until DBS confirms the issue has been resolved, please do not submit any new Basic Check applications.
